The above sleep problems are also known as insomnia. Did you know that sleep problems are actually very treatable? Dr. Kim will work with parents, children, and teens to help them get their sleep back on track.
She can:
- help children of any age learn to fall asleep on their own
- help parents get their evenings back to themselves rather than fighting constant bedtime battles
- help shorten the time that it takes to fall asleep
- help families figure out why kids lie awake and just can't fall asleep
- help nocturnal teenagers flip their sleep cycles so that they can be awake and alert during the schoool day
Therapy for sleep problems tends to be short-term (3-6 sessions) and involves "sleep homework" such as keeping a sleep diary to track bedtimes and waketimes.
